The M-Type is designed to use our thread adapters. One thread adapter is included with each brake except for the 3/4-24 thread. We recommend a thread locking compound be used on thread adapter and brake threads, but it is not required. Loctite 271 and medium strength (semi permanent) thread lockers are recommended and widely available. The M-Type is shim, crush washer and lock nut compatible.
